For your information, our group was assigned to design and built an optical listening device. The objective is to listen sound produced by a pipe in 10m away without using microphone. How it works? We fire laser to a mirror attached to the pipe. The reflected laser is modulated by the vibration of the pipe. We use sensor to detect the intensity of the reflected laser. After that this signal converted into audio signal and connect it to speaker.

akhirnya..
Alhamdulillah. Setelah bekerja almost 6 jam setiap kat lab hari dari hari Jumaat minggu lepas akhirnya Group 9 berjaya menyiapkan optical listening device. The sound produced is quite clear and loud. Yeah, lovely. Here is some clip about our project taken yesterday.
