Debat Minyak
Tadi tengok debat Anwar dengan Menteri Penerangan. Boleh tahan la. Tak banyak sangat isi yang dibentangkan. Lebih kepada retorik. Menteri dan Anwar juga kadang-kakdang kelihatan tidak menjawab soalan. Strategi menyerang peribadi juga ada diginakan oleh menteri. Bagi yang biasa dengan debat pasti tahu, teknik ini sebenarnya bukan satu cara yang sihat. Tapi ada beberapa perkara penting yang diutarakan oleh Anwar perlu difikirkan bersama. Mari sama-sama kita teruskan berbincang dan berfikir demi kesejahteraan bersama.

On the other hand I am happy that the debate took place. I dont think you had like to see street demo more than this kind of debate, do you?
Overall Anwar fulfilled his promise to teach the 'minister' on the 'how to do it,' though I was not that happy with his strategy for the last 1 billion, which he referred to the Dana Khas Petronas just announced a couple of hours before hand. Surely he got something more concerete than that since the promise of petrol price reduction was made pre-election? Hence, though I believe he could work out something to reduce the price, I am only convinced that he could get us not more than 3 billion to be used to maintain the subsidy as previously done.
Shabery Cheek as a whole was a bad debater, and whatever RTM wants us to believe, could muster much facts during the debate. Rather than defending te gomen new way of giving the rakyat subsidy he played well into Pakatan Rakyat's trap i.e. the no-subsidy-anymore thinking. Mind you, the fuel subsidy is still there and has not been scraped off totally; only the instrument and the way of distributing it are different now.
I hope more debates will take place, though not too frequently and not to involve to many people. Apart from a select few, I have not much faith in many of PKR's hunchmen - their intellect, ability, capability and honesty, I mean.
